Wasteland

Wasteland is a premium multi brand store in the heart of King St Perth, and we aim to be one of the most artistically interesting concept stores internationally. You could be in Greenwich or Noho, the Marais or St Germain, Shoreditch or Knights Bridge; Wasteland is that elusive international destination store in Western Australia.

The interior is comprised of alloy sculpture work by George Kustorkov- part of which was originally made in the 1970s for 'Cardin Salon International'. A full-length mural wall by Sydney artist Ben Frost wraps around the stairwell entrance. Be greeted by a 5-foot-high Mickey Mouse telling you what he thinks of you. Admire the mannequins designed by Anna Sui, sit back in the Arne Jacobsen egg chairs at iPod stations and listen to the selection of tunes available for sale, while reading from the selection of popular culture books sourced locally and internationally.

The collection line-up includes Marc by Marc Jacobs, Martin Margeila, See by Chloé, M by Missoni, Ksubi, Commes Des Garcons, Junya Watanabe, American Apparel, Sass & Bide, Tina Kalivas, Mala Brajkovic, April 77, American Apparel, Les Bijoux de Sophie, Mawi, and Junk Deluxe to name a selection.

In addition, Wasteland is a contemporary art gallery space- boasting the best pop artists from around the world including Ben Frost, Mijn Schatje, Mitch O'Connell, Hugh McCarthy, Sunny Buick, Kill Pixie, Kostas Seremitis, and Kathie Olivas.

Wasteland is more a destination than just a store because of the variety of stock we sell. There's something in the store for everyone, and there's no attitude at Wasteland, you can spend $15 or $15,000; everyone leaves with the same carry bags… and that's the rule!
